Odd legumes planted in spring garden

WINEDALE ? Sitting on the front porch again at the old country house in Washington County, where I?m resting up after laboring in the fields. Well, actually where I labored was in the garden out back, and what I did there was plant a row of yard-long beans. And when I finish resting, I intend to go back and plant a row of hog-brain peas. This is the nearest I?ve come in two years to practicing serious agriculture, and I?m enthusiastic about specializing in the production of these yard-long beans and hog-brain peas.
